ROA At ROYAL ASCOT ??

To those of us of a more ‘laid-back’ inclination, the sight today on TV of the winner of the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot – ‘Prince of Johanne’ ridden by John Fahy – with “ROA” emblazoned across his Jockey’s colours, must call for hearty congratulations to our PR Department.

I hope at 16-1 Members gave the bookies a hard time!

Not being a follower of horse racing I missed that. Had I known I might have been persuaded to part with a hard earned five shillings each way. I think the surrogate ROA member who owns the horse should come forward and we can follow the progress of the horse more formally.

Even I could have found a shekel or two if I had known. I love insider trading

  3. Tony Selman says:

If the Treasurer could have been persuaded to unlock the 16 padlocks on his personal piggy bank to invest in ‘Prince of Johanne’ then we are definitely on to a winner.
