Maritime Radio Day (MRD) 2018 – Reminder!
Registration is still open for both individuals and teams to take part in this event. As the process is automated it only takes a minute to sign up. Those who forward a completed log to the organisers will receive a Certificate of Participation by email. This is a really enjoyable non-contest event and I would encourage all active members to take part and say hello to fellow ex CW professionals who have worked at Sea or in Coast Stations. MRD 2018 takes place this year from 1200 UTC (GMT) on Saturday 14th April to 2200 UTC (GMT) on Sunday 15th April 2017. Please note the working arrangements for 14052 Khz As it is now 20 years since the ending of the requirement to keep a watch on 500 Khz and the subsequent closure of the last UK coast stations it would be fitting to keep the memories alive and QSO with our Coast Station colleagues during this event.
